Artist C.D. Clarke

C.D. Clarke

C.D. Clarke paints sporting scenes on location “en plein aire” all over the world.  He has painted in Patagonia, Alaska, the UK, Russia, the Caribbean, the Seychelles, all over the US and many other places.  By working from life right on the river, bonefish flat or marsh he captures the lights, color and and feeling of being in these special places.

Educated at Syracuse University, he’s been shown and published widely.  Shows include the Easton Waterfowl Festiva’s Gold Room, the Leigh-Yawky Woodson Museum’s “Birds in Art” show, and the American Museum of Fly Fishing.  Publications include Gray’s Sporting Journal, Fly Rod & Reel, Sporting Classics, and Field & Stream, as well as many sporting books.

Clarke currently lives just moments from a trout stream in rural New Jersey with his favorite female fishing partner and two Brittany Spaniels.
